Founder & President
Carolyn Sullivan is an award-winning entrepreneur, nationally respected nonprofit consultant, and bold changemaker with more than 40 years of experience across the legal, business, and nonprofit sectors. As Founder and CEO of New Chapter Coaching, she leads a national, full-service consultancy that partners with nonprofit leaders to sharpen strategy, strengthen teams, and build the capacity to create lasting, mission-driven impact.
Carolyn began her career as a trial attorney and broke barriers as the only female general partner in her Boston law firm’s 40-year history. In 2002, she transitioned into nonprofit leadership, serving as an executive director, national affiliate development director, and board officer. She has held every board leadership role and brings a rare 360-degree perspective on what it takes to grow and sustain high-impact organizations.
She is widely respected for her expertise in strategic planning, executive coaching, board development, and organizational performance. Carolyn is a certified Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) Facilitator, a Master Trainer with the Association for Talent Development, and holds certification in Strategic Performance Management from the National Center for Public Performance. Her unique ability to help mission-driven organizations align internal operations with external vision has made her a trusted advisor across the country.
Carolyn’s impact has been recognized through multiple awards, including for entrepreneurship (2024), individual community contribution (2024), and, most notably, the 2023 “Most Philanthropic Business” Award, honoring New Chapter Coaching’s deep commitment to investing in the nonprofit sector. Since its founding, Carolyn has ensured that New Chapter Coaching reinvests 3–5% of its annual revenue into the nonprofit community through direct donations, pro bono services, and capacity-building support—further proof of her belief in the power of giving back.
In addition to her consulting work, Carolyn serves on the board of the Ragtag Film Society, organizers of the internationally acclaimed True/False Film Festival, and is a nationally sought-after speaker known for delivering strategic insight with authenticity, clarity, and inspiration.
Carolyn lives in Columbia, Missouri, with her spouse, Dr. Elisa Glick, and their beloved dog, Cookie—45 pounds of unconditional Pittie love.
