As the Founder and President of Elisa Glick Consulting, Dr. Glick’s work is rooted in the belief that when organizations prioritize people-first values everyone thrives. Combining evidence-based strategies with a deep understanding of the complexities of human dynamics, Elisa helps nonprofit leaders develop the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to create resilient and empowering cultures—leading to stronger teams, increased innovation, and greater impact.
Dr. Glick brings a deeply intersectional and justice-centered approach to her work. She specializes in leadership development, cultivating cultures of belonging, and fostering courageous conversations that bridge difference and inspire systemic change. Known for her ability to guide organizations through challenging yet necessary discussions, Elisa balances compassion and accountability, equipping clients with actionable strategies that foster trust, deepen relationships, and build cultures where all voices are heard, respected, and valued.
Elisa is Associate Professor Emerita at the University of Missouri, where she was a professor of English and Women’s and Gender Studies for 22 years. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Brown University.
